“When I first stepped into this industry, I knew nothing at all about Aerospace. When I first started working at Cassavant Machining back in 1997, I started out helping in inventory control. I was fortunate to have the owner, Joe Cassavant Sr, give me the opportunity and training to move into inspection. I learned so much from him in regards to inspection methods and tools, blue print reading and also how to part mark, install inserts and other various assembly processes. The company has truly helped to me to develop as a person in regards to communication skills, professionalism and respect. I am now currently the Shipping Department lead and have seen and enjoyed new young members start out from packaging product and receive opportunities to be trained and promoted to newer challenges. This company has continuously invested and updated it’s facilities, tools and IT systems for us to get our jobs done more efficiently. I can remember starting out with a dot matrix printer to work with and now we use multiple state of the art Ricoh copy/scan/printer stations. The company truly looks out for all of it’s members and families as evident through their commitment in their benefits package.”– Minh Nguyen, Shipping Dept Lead
“When I came to Cassavant back in 2011 I wasn’t just looking for a career change from the automotive industry, but also something that presented a challenge & opportunity. I have found both & much more. Starting as a customer service representative enabled me get my foot in the door. Since then Cassavant Machining has worked with me to learn the technical side of the industry & allowed me to grow into several new roles in production control. Our company mantra is “Dedicated to perfection”, but they have been dedicated to much more than that. Every day presents new opportunities to be successful & there is no place I’d rather take on these challenges.” – Eric Kowal, Production Control Manager
“I have been with Cassavant Machining for 25 years. In that time, they have grown from less than 10 employees to over 200. Cassavant Machining is always updating their equipment and machinery and they stay up with the latest technology. Opportunities to move up and manage were made available to me over the years but I am a “parts guy”. I enjoy working on all the new products that the company continues to bring in. They have provided me with security and stability over the course of my career because of the relationships and contracts the company has built with its customers which is invaluable.” – Monty Smith, Mill Set-Up Lead Cell M5
“Cassavant Machining hired me on May 1st, 2009 as a CNC Swiss Machine (STAR) set up man, operator and to help troubleshoot programming and fix problems. During that time Cassavant Machining had only 6 CNC Swiss stars. This May of 2017 will be 8 years working for Cassavant Machining and it is one of the best places to work at and be a part of. The company has also expanded my knowledge more than 75% compared to when I first started. Just the Screw Machine department (STAR)alone has Grown Twice as much; 9 more machines now compared to when I started working here. In my opinion If you want to grow the same as the company you have to step up, Earn it, work hard, be responsible, show the company respect and prove it that you can do the job and do it better.” – Juan Contreras, CNC Swiss Supervisor
“Since 2003 I have been an employee of Cassavant Machining, where I started working in the maintenance dept., the saw dept. and as a lathe apprentice while going to school. After about a year and half or so I came on as a full time employee where I started working in the Mill Dept. as an apprentice. Over the course of the past 12 years I developed from my apprentice roles into a mill operator, night shift mill supervisor, Day shift Mill supervisor, Horizontal Mill Pallatech cell supervisor, and currently a 5-axis Pallatech cell supervisor. Through personal growth, trust and opportunity from the CMI executive team I have become one of the core members of the CMI team because without their help and support I would not be in the position I am today. “ – Michael Calandra, 5-Axis Pallatech Supervisor
